2007 - 2008 Individual Class Rules
|
Must be a production Line Model. Fan cooled chassis, 1970 or before. No limited models. Must have single cylinder.
Must be a single cylinder fan cooled motor and it must have points made in 1970 or before. Artic Cats must run (150A) motor, no (150B). Artic Cat - Panther chassis only.
No performance options or kits.
Clutch - can use 94 Comet Duster/ Power Bloc or original.
Carburetor - can run HR Tillotson or WR Walbro or HR Keihin - No Mikunis or Reed Valves allowed.
Exhaust/Muffler should be original - or close to original baffled muffler - (no tuner and no pipe). No cutting or adding to outlet.
MOTOR - No increasing the size of any openings, intake, internal or exhaust (no porting).
MOTOR - Normal oversize boring allowed with only normal required port chamfering, normal oversize boring up to .060 overbore maximum.
MOTOR - Pistons should be originals or stock replacements (no modifications which will increase compression or change port or skirt performance).
MOTOR - Cylinder Heads must be original (not shaved).
MOTOR - Crankcase and crank must be original.
CHASSIS - Chain case - must be from original manufacturer, 1970 or older - includes secondary clutch.
CHASSIS - Fuel tank - original or replacement must be of same size.

1973 and Older Experimental Class
|
- Must be a production line model. Fan cooled chassis, 1973 or before. No limited models. Must have come with one of the motors below - stock - and sold to the public as is. (Remember must have come with single cylinder motor. Examples: (Artic Cat - Panthers only) Ski Doo - Olympiques, Elans - Skiroule - RT-300 & S-250, Scorpion - Mark II or Stinger 1, Rupp Sprint 29 or S-29, Polaris Colt or Charger, Northway GO-45 or GO-30, Moto Ski - Cadet or Capri, and many more. Motors allowed: 250 Polaris; Rotax 247, 300, 302, 320, 335; K-295-1 Kohler; L-295, 297, 300 JLO; 280 and 293 Sachs; 55R, 190, 191, 193R Hirth

|
- Must be a production Line Model. Fan cooled chassis, 1973 or before. No limited models. Must have single cylinder motor. If you have a 1973 or older sled with a twin cylinder you may put a single cylinder in it.
- Must be a single cylinder fan cooled motor and it must have points made in 1973 or before.
- 150A motors only.
- No performance options.
- Clutch - can use 94 Comet Duster/Power Bloc or original.
- Carburetor - can run HR Tillotson or WR Walbro, Mikuni BN 34, Keihin CD 38-32. Polaris can run a Mikuni Slide Carburetor. Can remove choke assembly. No carburetor boring or reed valves allowed.
- Exhaust/Muffler should be original - or close to original baffled muffler - (no tuner or no pipe). No cutting or adding to outlet.
- MOTOR - No increasing the size of any openings, intake, internal or exhaust (no porting).
- MOTOR - Normal oversize boring allowed with only normal required port chamfering, normal oversize boring up to .060 overbore maximum.

1973 and Older 0 - 375 cc HD
|
- Must be a production Line Model. Fan cooled chassis, 1973 or before. No limited models. Must have single cylinder motor. If you have a 1973 or older sled with a twin cylinder you may put a single cylinder in it.
- Must be a single cylinder fan cooled motor and it must have points made in 1973 or before.
- Artic Cat Pumas and Lynx snowmobiles can run any single cylinder motor except the sachs wankel (example: Sachs, Hirth, JLO, KAW or Kohler).
- No performance options.
- Clutch - can use 94 Comet Duster/Power Bloc, or original.
- Carburetor - can run any HD-HR Tillotson or any WD-WR Walbro or any Keihin (406 which is roughly equivalent in size to a Tillotson HR or 407 which is equivalent to a Tillotson HD, or CD followed by numbers such as 33-28; the first number is the bore - the second is the venturi diameter). (Example: 292 GP Yamaha would run a CD 42-38 Keihin carburetor). No carburetor boring or Reed Valves allowed. No Mikuni carburetors allowed with the exception of the 250 Polaris single. Can remove choke.
- Exhaust/Muffler should be original - or close to original baffled muffler - (no tuner and no pipe). No cutting or adding to outlet.
- MOTOR - No increasing the size of any openings, intake, internal or exhaust (no porting).

The following motors can run with an HD carburetor: Sachs - 293, 297, SA 340, SA 368; Rotax - 292, 300, 302, 320, 335; JLO - L300, L340, L372, L380, L395; Kohler - K2951T, K309-1, K335-1; Yamaha - SL 292. HR to HD Adapter allowed. HD carburetor must be at 41mm maximum diameter. Polaris can run a Mikuni slide carburetor.

|
- Must be Production Line Model. Fan cooled chassis 1973 or before. No limited models. Must have a single cylinder motor. If you have a 1973 or older sled with a twin cylinder you may use this chassis.
- Must be a single cylinder fan cooled motor and it must have points made in 1973 or before.
- MOTORS ALLOWED - Sachs 290c, 320, 340c, 400 and Sachs Wankel and all other motors.
- PRIMARY CLUTCH - original or any after market clutch.
- CARBURETOR - Any production snowmobile carburetor of original size or smaller may be used with no modifications except removal of choke butterfly.
- EXHAUST/MUFFLER - should be original or close to original baffled muffler (no tuner and no pipe). No cutting or adding to outlet.
- MOTOR - porting allowed.
- MOTOR - Normal oversized boring up to .060 overbore maximum
- MOTOR - Cylinder Heads must be original (not shaved).
- MOTOR - Crankcase and crank must be original - Yamaha can have a tapered crankcase.
- CHASSIS - Chain case must be from original manufacturer, 1973 or older - includes secondary clutch.
- CHASSIS - aluminum skis are allowed, up to 3 inch spreaders per side maximum, skis no shorter than 12 inches.

1980 and Older 0 - 400 cc Open MOD Class
|
- Must be 1980 and older chassis.
- Any single cylinder motor - fan/free air/liquid.
- All engine modifications allowed.
- Any ignition system is allowed.
- Carburetors - any factory or after market carburetors allowed including fuel injection. No nitrous or alcohol fuel allowed, but any high octane fuel may be used.
- Exhaust/Mufflers - any stock or after market pipe or mufflers allowed. (Tuner pipes are allowed).
- Clutches - any original or after market clutch is allowed, including secondary clutch. Clutch guards must pass safety rules.
- Any functional leaf spring ski no shorter than 12 inches may be used. Aluminum skis allowed with up to 3 inch spreaders per side maximum.

1985 and Older Twin Cylinder 0 - 340 Super Stock Fan Class
|
- Must be a Production Line Model 1985 and older leaf spring snowmobile.
- CLUTCH - original or any production after market clutch.
- CARBURETOR - stock carburetor.
- EXHAUST/MUFFLER - stock OEM for the model.
- MOTOR - No increasing the size of any openings, intake, internal or exhaust (no porting).
- MOTOR - Normal oversize boring allowed with only normal required port chamfering, normal oversize boring up to .060 overbore maximum.
- MOTOR - Pistons should be originals or stock replacements (no modifications which will increase compression or change port or skirt performance).
- MOTOR - Cylinder Heads must be original (not shaved).
- MOTOR - Crank case and crank must be original.
- MOTOR - Engine and mount must remain stock and in original position.
- MOTOR - original ignition system may use after market CDI box.
- MOTOR - Engine brand must match chassis brand.
- CHASSIS - Chain case - must be from original manufacturer. Must remain in original position including secondary clutch which must remain stock.
- CHASSIS - Fuel tank - any fuel tank.
- CHASSIS - Aluminum skis are allowed - up to 3 inch spreaders per side maximum. Skis no shorter than 12 inches.

1985 and Older Twin Cylinder Super Stock 440 Fan, 340/440 Free Air, 340/440 Liquid Cool
|
- Any 1985 and older standard production leaf spring model snowmobile.
- EXT or 1976 & 1977 limited-built factory performance race sleds, such as SRX, Sno-Twister, Z, Blizzard, shall run in the OPEN MOD class.
- CLUTCH - any OEM primary, any OEM secondary, no roller secondary.
- CARBURETOR - any production snowmobile carburetor. Air box may be removed, no flat side carburetor, no fuel injection.
- EXHAUST/MUFFLER - stock OEM for the model.
- MOTOR - any internal modifications allowed.
- MOTOR - engine must have been available in the chassis model.
- MOTOR - normal oversized boring up to .060 overbore maximum.
- MOTOR - engine and mount must remain stock and in original position.
- MOTOR - original ignition system, may use after market CDI box.
- CHASSIS - stock OEM, no modifications.
- CHASSIS - OEM chain case for model, any break.
- CHASSIS - any 1985 or older OEM suspension.
- CHASSIS - aluminum skis are allowed up to 3 inch spreaders per side maximum, skis no shorter than 12 inches.

|
- Must be a 1985 and older Leaf Spring Chassis snowmobile.
- Sled can be widened up to 40 inches maximum width, center-to-center, if stock spindle is used.
- Up to 3 inch per side spreaders can be used, but not more than 40 inch width maximum.
- MOTOR - any internal modifications allowed.
- MOTOR - engine must match chassis.
- MOTOR - any ignition.
- CARBURETOR - any carburetors.
- EXHAUST/MUFFLER - any exhaust.
- CHASSIS - any track and suspension.
- CHASSIS - aluminum skis are allowed, steal leaf springs only, functional leaf spring skis (no shorter than 12 inches).
